As a child, I thought the most wonderful gift I could receive would be a brand new BIG box of crayons. I would stare at all the beautiful colors and imagine all the fantastic things I could create with them. That was the beginning of my love for the wonderful world of art.
I am a self taught artist. I mainly paint with oils, but have used acrylics. I love texture, so many of my works feature texturing giving it depth and illusion as the sunlight travels over it.
On the following pages you will see some of my artwork for sale. Also, you will see some of the artwork that was lost.
I am now also adding to my creative influences, polymer clay. I have fashioned masks, pen sets, flowers, jewelry and other things with this wonderful medium. I am now discovering papier mache. A few pieces are displayed here. I also enjoy writing short stories and poetry.
Remember that images on a computer are definately not as wonderful as seeing, touching and 'feeling' a painting, with its vivid colors, brushstrokes and texture. As always, things are much better in real life.
Some of the work I have done is highlighted on these pages. If you are interested in anything for sale, please contact me. All shipping charges include insurance. I could also design something especially for you. Please email me and we can discuss your requirements. Thank you for looking.
FROM THE ASHES:
We lost our home and everything we owned in the firestorm that had swept through San Diego County in October of 2003. All of my paintings were consumed in the fire. Lost also were all of my polymer clay creations - my masks, switchplates, pen sets, roses, jewelry and everything else I created with this amazing clay. However, I am thankful I have these images online and can enjoy looking at them. You will find the paintings lost in the fire in the section "Lost Art". The fires didn't consume my spirit to create, so I will be painting again.
